LARRY BOYER

SPENCERVILLE — Larry E. Boyer, 77, of Spencerville, passed away at 10:13 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center following a sudden illness, with his family at his side.

He was born July 14, 1939 in Lima, the son of Harold E. and Wilma Thompson Boyer, who are deceased. On June 12, 1965 he married Donna Daugherty, who survives along with two children, Darren (Tiffany) Boyer, of Spencerville and Lisa (Duke)Monk, of Woodland Park, Colo.; his daughter-in-law, Dollie Boyer, of Spencerville; five grandchildren, Jeffery (Rebecca) Boyer; Natasha Boyer; Tabitha Pack; Orenda Boyer and Kayla Boyer; six great-grandchildren, Ashdon, Nathanial, Harleigh, Lillian, Jesse and Kimberly Boyer; and one sister, Sandra (Dick) Rosenbauer, of Wapakoneta.

His son, Greg Boyer, preceded him in death.

Larry was a 1958 graduate of Spencerville High School and served 21 years in the Army National Guard. He had worked as a security guard at the American Mall and then the Flex Foam Products Company in Spencerville.

He was a long-time member of the Spencerville First Baptist Church, the American Legion Post 191, the Amvets of Middle Point, the Odd Fellows Lodge and VFW Clown, both of Spencerville.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, with Pastor Jim Fletcher and Pastor Ron Boyer officiating. Military rites will follow the services at the funeral home by the Spencerville Veterans. Burial will follow at the Spencerville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
