LESTER KILL
ST. MARYS — Lester A. Kill, 85, of rural St. Marys, died at 4:25 AM Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Lima Rehab And Nursing Care in Lima following a short illness, with his family at his side.
He was born December 20, 1930 in Jennings Twp., Van Wert County, a son of Harold Matthew and Bernice Winnonia Louth Kill, who are deceased. On April 21, 1951 he married Rosemary Rothe, who survives, along with six children; Cathy (Mike) Lehman of Cridersville; Paul (Ronette) Kill of St. Marys; Debra Eutsler of Spencerville; Rollin (Brenda) Kill of Spencerville; Gordon Kill of St. Marys and Jay Kill (friend Francis Bermudez) of Old Hickory, TN. And a daughter-in-law; Kim Kill of St. Marys.; 11 grandchildren; Connie (Mark) Simons of Findlay; Jodi (David) Snyder of Marysville; Diana (Greg) Varno of Wapakonta; Matthew (Sharon) Kill and Derrick (Jessica) Kill, both of Spencerville; Andrea (Jeff) Johnston, Daniel (Fiance' Alicia Fenbert) Rigdon;, Jarrod (Fiance' Brook Coil) Rigdon and Collin (Miranda) Kill, all of Spencerville; Brandon Kill of Bloomington, IN. and Haylee Kill of Medina, Ohio and 23 great grandchildren; two brothers; Leonard (Gladys) Kill of Spencerville and Carl (Barbara) Kill of Celina and a sister-in-law; Judy Kill of Olive Branch, Miss. and a brother-in-law Donald Rothe, of St. Marys.
Preceding him in death are 4 siblings; Pauline Little, Bernard Kill, Thomas Kill and James Kill; one brother-in-law, Leonard Rothe and a sister-in-law, Ruth Rothe.
Lester was a 1949 graduate of Spencerville High School and a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Spencerville , the Auglaize County NFO and the Young Farmers Alumni. He was a former Board member of the United Equity in Spencerville and the PCA. He was a former 4-H advisor for the Kossuth Gleaners and an honorary member of the Spencerville FFA Chapter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday in the St. Patrick Church with Father Steven Blum officiating. Burial will follow in the Kossuth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 until 8 PM Friday and 9 until 10 AM Saturday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville.
