Spencerville; Linda Lou Miller, 77, of Spencerville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.
Linda was born on November 2, 1945 at St. Rita's in Lima to the late Richard William and Hazel (Huckemeyer) Lauth. She graduated from Spencerville High School in 1964 and started working for Hayes-Albion/ Trim Trends that same year. She was employed with Hayes-Albion as an engineering secretary for over 40 years until the company closed. On June 1, 1968, Linda was united in marriage to Randall Lee Miller at New Salem Presbyterian Church near Monticello. Along with her secretary career, Linda also managed to take care of all the paperwork for the farm as well as her son's lawn care business.
Linda was a former member of the New Salem Presbyterian Church near Monticello before joining the congregation at the First Presbyterian Church in Celina. She has always been very active with the church and often did the readings during Sunday service. Linda enjoyed cooking, doing puzzles/ crosswords, and crochet. She made a blanket for each one of the grandkids. If Linda had the tv, you could almost guarantee she had the game show network on unless it was Saturday during football season. She was a huge Buckeyes fan who never missed a game. Most of all, her greatest joy was her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her husband, Randall Miller of Spencerville; three children, Ronald Lee (Sarah) Miller of Spencerville, Angela Lynn (Duane) Adams of Panama City, FL, Gregory Lee (Jennifer) Miller of Spencerville; eleven grandchildren, Caleb Miller, Isaac Miller, Jacob Miller, Amber (Pete) Mustard, Arika (Bart) Leininger, Andrew (Brandi) Slone, Cierra (Keith) Lenhart, Kaitlynn (Sergio) Moreno, Olivia Adams, Carter Miller, and Ellison Miller; seven great grandchildren; and three siblings, Barbara Ann Coil of Spencerville, Shirley May Mueller of Spencerville and Debra Kay Camper of Elida. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers-in-law, Gerald Coil and Larry Mueller.
There will be a visitation from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Visitation will continue Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. until the start of the funeral at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home with Pastor Nan Clancy officiating. Burial will take place following the service at New Salem Cemetery near Monticello. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Linda and her family. In memory of Linda, contributions may be made to the Spencerville Invincible Fire Company or the Spencerville Ambulance Service.
