MARJORIE GRIGSBY
SPENCERVILLE — Marjorie M. Grigsby, 66, died at 10:22 a.m. Aug. 1, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center, after an extended illness.
She was born May 24, 1948, in Lima to Willie B. and Rita R. Egten French. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Spencerville. On Aug. 24, 1968, she married William B. "Bill" Grigsby, who survives.
Mrs. Grigsby was a 1966 graduate of Spencerville High School and was a school bus driver for Spencerville schools for 24 years. She was a member of the former Fraternal Order of Eagles lodge in Van Wert and the Eagles lodge in Delphos, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772, Athletic Boosters, and EMS, all in Spencerville.
Survivors also include four children, William Grigsby Jr., of Harrod, and Rita (Dwayne) Krouskop, Timothy (Kerry) Grigsby and Della (Sean) Chapman, all of Spencerville; 16 grandchildren, Tony Grigsby, Devan Grigsby, Derek Grigsby, Dylan Grigsby, Hannah Krouskop, Ben Krouskop, Levi Krouskop, Luke Krouskop, Wyatt Krouskop, Jacey Grigsby, Kaiden Grigsby, Gunner Grigsby, Colton Grigsby, Gage Grigsby, Lain Patterson and Cooper Chapman; and three brothers, Bill (Luella) French, Bob (Myra) French and Don French, all of Spencerville.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. The Rev. Andrew J. Atkins will officiate. Burial will be in Spencerville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
