MARTHA FAST

SPENCERVILLE — Martha Helen Slentz Fast, 94, of Spencerville, went home to be with the Lord at 6:45 AM Friday, January 6, 2017 at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville. She was born on July 8, 1922 in Elgin, Ohio, a twin daughter of the late Oran and Belva Binkley Slentz. On June 26, 1942 she married Harold Lee Fast, her husband of 52 years, who passed away July 10, 1994.

Martha was a 1941 graduate of Spencerville High School and was a homemaker and mother of 7. She was a member of Agape Fellowship Ministries near Spencerville. She loved to sing and crochet items for her family.

Surviving are 3 sons; Bill (Linda) Fast and Earl (Beverly) Fast, both of Spencerville and Philip Fast of Louisville, KY.; 3 daughters; Teri (Bob) Wierwille and Pat Lee, both of Spencerville and Peggy (Jerry) Seibert of Monroe, MI.; 23 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren; her sister; Lois Boroff and sister-in-law; Gloria Utrup.

Preceding her in death is her son; Robert Dale Fast; grandson; Kasey Lynn Lee; twin sister, Margie (John) Harbert, sister Betty (Foster) Sawmiller ; son-in-law; Pastor Ron Lee and mother-in-law; Neva Miller.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, with her son Bill Fast officiating, with burial to follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.
