Mary Scheer, 81, of Columbus, formerly of St. Marys, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Sapphire Rehabilitation and Care Center in Columbus.

Mary was born to Carl and Violet (Schletter) Lauth. She graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School. She had four children: David (Crystal) Scheer, Anita Kahlig, Suzanne (John) Mulrooney, and Jason Scheer. She had six grandchildren: Autumn Scheer, Clay Kahlig, Kelsey Kahlig, Grace Seibel, Anna Mulrooney, Sean Mulrooney.

There will be a graveside service held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at New Salem Cemetery just south of Monticello with Pastor Andrew J. Atkins officiating.
