Fayette, OH. Michael A. Laber, 36, of Fayette and formerly of Ironton, OH., died suddenly on Saturday evening, May 2, 2020 at his home in Fayette following Heart surgery.

He was born August 13, 1983 in Ironton, the son of Daniel Nelson and Teresa Laber. His father survives in Pedro, OH. and his mother survives in Ashland, KY. On October 30, 2019 he married Katrena Lee Fryer Kill, who survives in Fayette.

Mike is survived by five children; Alexis Arnett, Maria K. Laber, Isaiah G. Laber, Temperance M. Laber and Zander C. Laber and two step-brothers; Anthony R. Laber and Clifford E. Nelson and his step-sister Lynnze L. Nelson.

He had worked as an equipment operator at the M.T.O. Corp. in St Marys and also G.M. in Defiance.

He was a mechanic and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.

Private family graveside services will be 2 pm Monday, May 11, 2020, in the Puckett Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp., Lawrence County, Ohio.
