Spencerville- On Saturday November 13th, 2021 at 9:10am Michael Prine (48) passed away surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mike was born on January 18th, 1973 in Lima Ohio to Jeannine Prine and Thomas Smith. Mike was later adopted by Jeannine's husband Micky Prine.

Mike graduated from Spencerville High School in 1991. He was employed by Eaton Corp in Van Wert Ohio.

Mike enjoyed spending time with his daughters Hannah and Haylee. He loved to joke around and make people laugh. He also enjoyed listening to music, gardening, photography, grilling out, going for car rides and spending time with family and friends.

Mike is survived by his mother Jeannine Prine of Spencerville, daughters Hannah Prine of Wapakoneta and Haylee Prine of Van Wert, half-brother Kevin (Jennifer) Puthoff of Spencerville, half-sister Ashly(Matt) Wente of New Bremen, nieces and nephews Brice and Faith of Spencerville , Evan and Lilly of New Bremen. He is also survived by Grandmother Marge Kemp of Delphos and caregiver and friend Joy Kohli

He is proceeded in death by his biological father Thomas Smith and adoptive father Micky Prine as well as grandparents John and Doris Smith and Raymond and Annette Goetz.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society or the family.
