Michael Wayne Schwartz Sr., 65, of Delphos passed away peacefully at 9:12 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville.

Michael was born on November 23, 1957 in Lima to the late Joseph Schwatz and Shirley (Frysinger) Meister. He attended St. Mary's public schools and graduated in 1976 from St. Mary's High School. After high school, Mike continued his education at Apollo Career center before finishing up his 2 year degree at Lima Tech. His path led him to a career at Trim Trends where he worked for over 20 years. On June 28, 1997, Michael was united in marriage to Margaret "Peg" Kohler.

Mike was a long time member of the Sons of The American Legion post #191 in Spencerville. For most of his life, he enjoyed bowling and playing pool in leagues until he wasn't physically capable anymore. Being very artistic, he had a passion for building things, woodworking projects and was a very talented painter. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Michael is survived by his wife of 25 years, Peg. Three children, Michael (LaTisha Liming) Schwartz Jr. of St. Mary's, Anita (Brandon) Shafer of Celina, Brittany (Javier Gonzalez) Schwartz of Sidney; two step-children, Melissa Anne (Shawn) Volbert of Spencerville and James Blauvelt of Wapak; ten grandchildren; one brother Marvin Schwartz of St. Mary's; one sister, Patricia Hensley of Mendon; and one step-brother, Ed Wilson of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Beverly Jane Schwartz.
