Mikel Alan Wolford, 58, of Spencerville passed away at 4:26 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima following a sudden illness.

Mike Wolford was born on February 1, 1965 in St. Mary's, to the late Dwain L. and Janet E. (Wiswasser) Wolford. Mike graduated from Spencerville High School in 1983. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. Every July you could see Mike out volunteering with the Hillbilly Truck Pulls. From the time Mike could walk he spent his time on the family farm. From tinkering with the tractors and trucks to farming alongside his grandpa, Herbert and dad, Dwain. He was then lucky enough to have his son Nick join in the family tradition.

Mike is survived by his son, Nick Wolford of Spencerville; brother, Jerry (Marcia) Wolford of Spencerville; sister, Joine (Dan) Rumsey of Coldwater, MI and too many friends to count. He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a visitation from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with visitation from 11-2 p.m. prior to the service on Friday, April 7, 2023 also at the funeral home with burial to follow at Wright Cemetery. Pastor Andrew J. Atkins will be officiating the service.
