Mildred Mae Seibert, 94, of Lima, passed away at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Springview Manor in Lima.

Mildred was born on March 15, 1928 in Spencerville to the late Gilbert L. and Cleo Marie (Counts) Seibert. She grew up in and attended school at Spencerville until the 11 ^th grade. She then began working at Artex and later at Continental Can until retiring in 1966. She had formerly been married to the late Edmon Smith.

Mildred was a long time member of the Lima FOE Aerie #370, Order of the Eastern Star Trinity Chapter #16 in Lima, and the American Legion Auxiliary post #191 in Spencerville. Mildred Loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Sue (Gary) Clay of Lima; two grandchildren, Shelley (Eric) Ambroza of Lima and Ric (Nila) Lyons of Lima; two step-grandchildren, Vincent (Stacy) Clay of Kalida and Trina Mell of Lima; former step-grandson-in-law Rick Mell; eleven great grandchildren, Drew Ambroza, Abbey Ambroza, Cydney Lyons, Brock Lyons, John Clay, Geoffrey Clay, Ava Clay, Logan Clay, Austin Mell, Alaina Thornton, and Justin Thornton; three siblings, Juanita Bonnifield of Lima, Betty Thomas of Lima, and Gilbert Seibert of Florida; one sister-in-law, Jane Seibert of Bluffton. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, Gerald Seibert, Robert Seibert, Doris Seibert and Lulu Belle Lockwood and four in-laws, Carl Bonnifield, Buddy Thomas, Roy Lockwood and Karen Seibert.

A private family service will be held at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with burial to follow at Kossuth Cemetery.
