Spencerville;    Myra Lou (Shrider) French, 81 of Lima, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 11, 1942 in Lima to the late George Fred and Pearl L. (Burkholder) Shrider. Myra married Robert L. French on December 25, 1975.

Myra retired from the Lima Manor and Otterbein Cridersville Nursing homes. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Miami Dolphins football fan. Myra enjoyed gambling, the annual St. Patty's Day bash, and attending EVERY Country Concert with her close friends! But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia Smith, Mark Smith, Marcia (Michael) Barnett, Tracy (Dawn) Rhoades of Lima, and Joshua (Brooke) French of Spencerville. Myra is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a brother, Donald Shrider of Lima, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings James Shrider, Michael Shrider, George Fred Shrider III, and Karen Trevino of Lima.

There will be a visitation from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 also at the funeral home with an hour of visitation before the service with pastor Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Hartford Cemetery. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Myra and her family. In honor of Myra, preferred memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
