Nancy C. Koenig, 75, of Spencerville passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at St. Rita's Medical Center following a traffic accident.

Nancy Carol Koenig was born on August 27, 1947 to the late Ross Calvin and Rosemary M. (Ryan) Koenig at St. Rita's in Lima. She grew up in Spencerville and graduated from Spencerville High School in 1965. Prior to her graduation, she started working at Roselawn Manor and continued working there before working for Ohio Decorative Products. She worked at Ohio Dec. over 40 years before retiring early at 63.

Nancy enjoyed fishing, reading, and cheering on her teams, especially her Cincinnati Reds. Aside from her family one of her greatest joys was her dog Spiky. He was her companion and fishing buddy.

Nancy is survived by her sister, Rose (Michael) Mowery of Van Wert; nieces & nephews, Heather (Matthew) Riley of Van Wert, Matthew (Jasmine Mills) Mowery of Van Wert, and Norman (Sidney) Koenig of Delphos; and many great nieces & nephews. She will be missed by friends, Linda, Marie, Sab, Roxy and her special dog, Spiky. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Janice Koenig and Christopher Koenig.

There will be a visitation from 12-2 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor Tom Shobe. Burial will be at a later date at Spencerville Cemetery.
