NED DETRICK
SPENCERVILLE — Spencerville; Ned Detrick, 73, of Spencerville, died at 8:30 AM Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in the St. Rita's Medical Center with his family at his side following an extended illness.
He was born April 4, 1942 in Lima, a son of Wildred "Bill" and Ruth Louth Detrick, who are deceased. On June 6, 1980 he married Marie V. Young, who survives, along with his brother; Ted (Betty) Detrick of Spencerville.
Ned was a 1960 graduate of the Spencerville High School and worked as a meterial handler for 26 years at the former Ex-CelI-O/ Textron Corp. in Lima. He attended the Friends Church in Spencerville and enjoyed traveling, Country Music and Vinyl records and playing cards. in his retirement.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastors Charles H. Johnson and David W. Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donors choice.
