Obituary

Patrica Ann (Dixon) Seibert, age 67, went to be with her Lord and Savior July 9th, 2024 following a massive heart attack.

She was born July 8, 1957 to the late Clarence Edward & Dorthy May (McCormick) Dixon of Waynesfield, Ohio. On July 7, 1978 she married Richard Seibert (who survives) and they began their life together just outside Kossuth, Ohio on the farm they would call home for their entire marriage.

Together, they had three sons: Daniel (Tiffany), Michael (Krista) and Benjamin (Carolyn) Seibert, who blessed them with nine grandchildren: Lillian, Sophia, Angelina, Harmon, Hollyn, Havilyn, Lane, Luke and Henry. Patty is survived by her siblings: Marlene (Paul) Font, Marvin (Maxine) Dixon and Warren (Chris) Dixon.

She was a 1976 graduate of Waynesfield Goshen. She was an active member of Kossuth Zion United Methodist Church where she led the Bible School program. Patty volunteered in the community, used her skills as a seamstress embroidering FFA jackets and working at The Bridal Emporium in Wapakoneta. She also worked with the county election board.

A soul who never knew a stranger, the feisty angel that heaven gained will forever be remembered here for her unconditional love and as someone who demonstrated that the little, everyday things in life were in fact the big things. Patty was always the first to show up to sit with a friend in need, lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on and willing to help. She loved her family fiercely and never missed a program, competition or chance to support them if it was up to her.

Patty embodied a childlike love for Christmas – the true meaning of the season and everything surrounding it. Those closest to her will also remember her passion for 4-H and the fair; as an advisor for 32 years, but also cheering her kids and grandchildren through the program.

Friends may call on her family and share memories Friday, July 12th from 4-8PM at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, Ohio and Saturday, July 13th from 10-11AM at Kossuth Zion United Methodist Church with the funeral and burial following at New Salem Cemetery.  Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Patricia and her family.

Donations in her honor may be made to Kossuth Zion United Methodist Church Bible School fund.
