Paul Herbert Cox, 59, of Spencerville, passed away at 3:51 PM Friday, April 28, 2023 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, following a short illness.

Paul was born June 16, 1963 in Lima, the son George H. and Mary F. Smith Cox, who survive in Spencerville.

Also surviving are four sisters; Judy (Paul) McGrail of Sarasota, FL, Sharon Cox and Carolyn (Dale) Rider, both of Spencerville and Vickie Klausing of Van Wert and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathy and Patricia Cox.

Paul was a 1981 graduate of Spencerville High School and went on to serve four years in the United States Navy in San Diego, CA. He was a member of Harry J. Reynolds American Legion Post 191 in Spencerville and worked in assembly at Honda of America in Anna.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday in the Spencerville Cemetery with Pastor Tom Shobe officiating. The United States Navy Honor Guard and the Spencerville Veterans will conduct military rites following the service.

In place of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the donors choice or the Spencerville Area Veterans Memorial Park.
