PAUL EWING
SPENCERVILLE — Paul A. Ewing, 80, died at 1:10 p.m. Sept. 20, 2015, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima after an extended illness.
He was born March 23, 1935, in Alger to Harold F. and Marie Worrell Ewing, who preceded him in death. On June 19, 1954, he married Marianne Blythe, who survives.
Mr. Ewing was a 1953 graduate of Harrod High School and was a lifelong dairy farmer. He had also worked at Equity Dairies in Lima and the Allen County Dairy Service Unit. He retired from Amanda Township in Allen County. He had been a member of Hartford Christian Church and was a member of the Guernsey Association. He had worked with Guernsey cows all his life, which he loved along with Boston terriers, especially his pup Mocha.
Survivors also include three daughters, Triena (Terry) Kahle, of Kalida, Tarianne Ewing, of Spencerville, and Twila (Ronald) Hager, of Wapakoneta; two grandchildren, Nicole Calvelage, of Delphos, and Maurissa Cummins, of Wapakoneta; a sister, Jane Hiett, of Bellefontaine; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Blythe, of Spencerville; and a brother-in-law, Rob Youngpeter, of Spencerville.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tamantha "Tammy" Marshall; two brothers-in-law, James Hiett and Sam Blythe; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Betsy" Blythe Youngpeter.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. The Rev. Gary Hohman will officiate. Burial will be in Spencerville Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
