Obituary

Paula Ann Miller, 48, of Middle Point, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

Paula Ann Woods was born in Ripley, West Virginia to Robert Lee and Lois Jane (Mallet) Woods. She graduated from Riverside High School in 1996. In late May of 2003, she attended church with a friend in Van Wert, not knowing that she was going to see her future husband. In December of that year, Jerry Allen Miller Jr., made New Years Eve plans with Paula and they both realized that God had brought them two into each others lives. On May 15, 2004, Paula and Jerry were united in marriage and together they raised two children, Charity Leigh and Destiny Rose. After marrying Jerry, she acquired her associates degree in business management from Gallipolis Technical College and then a bachelors degree in Practical Ministry.

Besides being a homemaker, Paula was running her own home décor business, Heaven's Door Wreaths and More. Paula was a very strong woman of faith and cared deeply for others and helping them find their faith in Christ. She cherished her family more than anything.

Paula is survived by her husband, Jerry; two children, Charity Leigh (Elijah Rain) Neal of Hawaii and Destiny Rose Miller of Middle Point; her mother, Lois Jane Mallet of West Virginia; three siblings, Jane (Gene) Ellis of Florida, Wayne Lee (Sherry) Woods of Akron, Brenda (Mitch) Morgan of West Virginia; sister-in-law, June Ann Marie (James) Fogt of Sidney; and brother-in-law, Jason (Brenda) Miller of Spencerville. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Woods.

There will be a visitation from 11:30-2:00 p.m. followed by her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Burial will take place at a later date at Mendon Cemetery. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Paula and her family.
