PHILLIS REYNOLDS

SPENCERVILLE — Funeral services for Phillis A. Biederman Reynolds, 85, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home. Pastor Robert King and Pastor James Fletcher will officiate, and burial will follow in Spencerville Cemetery.

Mrs. Reynolds died peacefully at 12:16 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, surrounded by family.

She was born Dec. 20, 1930, in Spencer Township, Allen County, as a daughter of C. Merle and Kathryn Rabley Biederman, who are deceased. At 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 1949, Phillis married Richard Lee Reynolds at First Baptist Church in Decatur, Ind. The two celebrated 60 precious years together before his passing June 14, 2010.

She is survived by a daughter, Lee Ann Turner, and a granddaughter, Shawn Turner Nguyen, both of Cleveland; and a son-in-law, Phillip Nguyen of Cleveland; a brother, Theodore (Elsie) Biederman of Portland, Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and son, Richard Lee Reynolds and R. Wayne Reynolds, respectively.

Mrs. Reynolds was a 1949 graduate of Spencerville High School and afterward became a mother and a homemaker. She was a devoted member of Hartford Christian Church where she served as an organist and pianist for many decades. She was a 62-year member of the 130th Chapter of the Spencerville Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing hymnal music on her piano, crocheting, sewing, cooking and caring for her family.

Friends may call Monday at 10:30 a.m. with a memorial service proceeding thereafter at 12:30 p.m.
