Ralph William " Billy" McElroy II, 52, of Spencerville, passed away on October 27, 2024 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

Billy was born on April 19, 1972 to Ralph William McElroy and Linda Lee (Parsons) Short.

Ralph is survived by his mother, Linda (William) Short of Spencerville; his children, Katelynn (Marc Quintero) McElroy of Wapak, Draven Lee McElroy of Spencerville, Alyssa McElroy of Spencerville, Tesla McElroy of Spencerville, Decoda Lumpkins of Spencerville, and Zachary Foust-Kaskel of North Carolina; grandchildren, Peyton, Nalani, and Naliyah of Wapak; his wife, Lynnette McElroy of Van Wert; his siblings, Terry Short of TN, Jeremy McElroy of TN, Carla Goetz of Berne, IN, Sarah McElroy of Rockford, Liz (Jim) Eisenhut of Harrod, William Palmer of IA, Kesha (Dylan) Burleson of Pittsburgh, TX, Courtney Freeman of IA, Natasha Freeman of IA, Reno Palmer of TX; many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph McElroy; his brothers, Eric McElroy and John Paul McElroy; and his paternal grandparents.

Billy was loving and kind to everyone he met. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and teaching them life skills. He was an Ohio State Buckeyes and Green Bay Packers fan.

There will be a private family service held at a later date. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Ralph and his family.
