RHONDA DeVILBISS
SPENCERVILLE — Rhonda Sue DeVilbiss, 68, of Spencerville, died at 1:15 AM Friday, November 21, 2015 in the Roselawn Manor in Spencerville following a short illness.
She was born August 12, 1947 in Washington Court House, Ohio. Her adoptive parents were Ronald Wayne and Myrtle Reed Travis, who are deceased. On June 26, 1966 she married Samuel Sherman DeVilbiss II, who died June 6. 2007.
She had been a homemaker and had formerly worked at MacDonald Industries in Spencerville. She enjoyed Cross Stitching and Knitting to be given as gifts to her family and friends.
Surviving are four children; Samuel S. "Sam" DeVilbiss III and James D. "Jim" DeVilbiss, both of Kossuth; Nola S. Hipsher of Lima and Michael A. DeVilbiss, also of Kossuth; four grandchildren; Stephanie (Ron) Dinardo, Kristina Hipsher, Maleeck and Jamal Houston, all of Lima and six siblings;Debbie (Jake) McDermitt of rural St. Marys; Veronica "Ronnie" Mullins of Mt. Washington, Ky; Alice (Tom) Bauman of Ft. Wayne; Larry Travis of Colorado, Ronald "Wayne" Travis and Cheryl "Ron" May, both of Ft. Wayne, IN.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor Craig Booher officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2/4 and 6/8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials are requested to be given to her daughter Nola Hipsher in care of the funeral home.
