Elida;    Richard Lee "Rick" Arthur, 69, of rural Elida,  passed away suddenly at his home Friday morning, April 22, 2022.

He was born May 29 ^th , 1952 in Lima, Ohio, a son of Thomas E. "Tom" Arthur, who passed away in 2008, and Rita J. "Joy" Arthur, who lives in Spencerville. Rick married the love of his life, Barbara Mays on October 28 ^th , 1989 and she survives in Elida, Ohio.

Also surviving are his children; daughter Tiffany Reed of St. Paris, Ohio,  son James N. "Nick" Arthur of Spencerville and step-sons Tracy (Melissa) Triplett,  Jr. of Woodruff, S.C. and Travis (Tina) Triplett of Lima; his siblings, Pat Reier of Spencerville, Thomas E. Arthur, Jr. of Cridersville, Jean (Steve) Hanna of Columbus and Leslie Link of Bronson, FL., his grandchildren, Zachary, Amanda, Amber, Alina, Katelyn, Malik and Osiris and several great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his sister Julie Clark in 2015.

Rick was a 1970 graduate of Spencerville High School He loved all things mechanical. His passion was restoring old cars and trucks and he was the happiest working in his garage with his dogs Izzie and Baby. He had formerly worked at Hayes-Albion, Dana and New Idea Companies and Lima State Hospital.

In lieu of a funeral, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 1 until 4 PM at the Northwest Ohio Field and Stream Hall on Kolter Road in Spencerville, with Pastor Charles H. Johnson officiating. Everyone who knew and loved Rick are invited to come and celebrate his life.
