Wapakoneta;          Richard Lee "Dick" Gallaspie, 66, of Wapakoneta passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024 in his home.

Richard was born on October 8, 1957 in Greenville, OH to the late Richard Lee and Barbara Ann (Harruff) Gallaspie. He grew up in Spencerville and was a graduate of Spencerville High School in 1976. Dick spent the rest of his life making a career out of motivational speaking for Arrive Alive and as a personal trainer.

Dick not only touched a lot of lives through his speaking but had a real impact on people as a personal trainer. He was extremely passionate about people; connecting with them and helping them live a fulfilling healthy life. The phrase "If you didn't hate him after a training session, then he wasn't satisfied" sums up his passion toward physical fitness.

Richard is survived by his three siblings, Clem (Mary) Gallaspie of Wapakoneta, Anna (Bob) (Steinke) Gallaspie of Cridersville, Jim (Jodi) Sanders of Lima; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Doug Gallaspie Sr.

There will be a visitation from 2:00-7:00 p.m. followed by his funeral service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Burial will take place at Spencerville Cemetery at a later date. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Richard and his family.
