RICHARD SCHWARTZ
ST. MARYS — Richard L. Schwartz, 68, of rural St. Marys, died at 7:27 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys following a sudden illness.
He was born July 11, 1947, at the family home in rural St. Marys, the son of Lester and Melba Rohrbach Schwartz, who are deceased. He was formerly married to Mary Alice Fannon Schwartz, of St. Marys, who survives.
Also surviving are three children; Brian (Beth) Schwartz of Davo City, Philippines; Marty (Shannon) Schwartz of St. Marys and MaryLou (Steve) Macklin of Spencerville; eight grandchildren; Jacob Schwartz of Defiance; Rebecca Schwartz of Davo City; Griffin, Gavin and Tatum Schwartz of St. Marys and Matthew, Eric and Alyssa Macklin of Spencerville; his brother, Gary (Ruth) Schwartz of Kossuth and his friend; Phyllis Dabe of St. Marys.
Dick was a 1965 graduate of the Spencerville High School and was presently employed as a courier for the Joint Twp. District Memorial Hospital for the past 15 years.
He enjoyed watching horse races and being with people and was a member of Wapakoneta Eagles Aerie 691.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor Aaron Kimmel officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.
Friends may call from 2 until 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
