SPENCERVILLE — Robert L. Miller, 84, of Bois Blanc Island, Michigan, formerly of Spencerville, died at 11:14 a.m. Jan. 9, 2016, at Okeechobee Hospice House, Florida.

He was born Aug. 7, 1931, in Celina to Corwin Harold and Bernice Mae Fifer Miller, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 19, 1950, he married Shirley J. Arthur, who died July 31, 1996.

Mr. Miller was employed for 40 years with the Buckeye Pipeline Co. in Lima. In addition to his family, he enjoyed his "hit and miss" one cylinder engines and his motorcycles through the years.

Survivors include four children, Debra Reynolds, Bobbie Morris and Becky (Gary) Sheeter, all of Spencerville, and Scott (Gayle) Miller, of Delphos; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and his significant other, Penny Rickwalt, of Bois Blanc Island, Michigan, who cared for him 18 years.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Corwin H. "Doc" Miller Jr.; his infant sister, Alice Jean Miller; and his infant daughter, Erica Miller.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. Pastors John Medaugh and Tom Shobe will officiate. Burial will be in Spencerville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
