Spencerville;   Robert C. "Bob" Zimpher, 82, of Spencerville, passed away at 6:45 PM Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville. He was born Sept. 16, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI. to Harry and Gladys ( Swearingen)  Zimpher, who are deceased. He married Marilyn Kay Halterman on April 6, 1957, who survives, along with four daughters, Deborah  K. (Roger) Roby of McBain, MI., Cindy A. (David) McMichael of Mendon, Robin L. (David) Kimmey and Rita J. Zimpher, both of Spencerville.

He has 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by 3 sisters, 3 brothers, his in-laws Cecil and Grace (Middleton) Halterman and 1 grandson.

He was a truck driver most of his life and loved woodworking and had served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor Tom Shobe  officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until service time Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
