RUTH MILLER

SPENCERVILLE — Mrs. Ruth Louise Clark Miller of State Route I77W, Spencerville, Ohio passed away to her eternal home on Monday, June 30th, 2014 after an extended illness.

Ruth was born March 23, 1923 to Ralph and Amy Clark in Taft, California, both now deceased. Ruth spent the first and second grades of school there, until her parents moved back to Ohio.

Ruth attended Jennings Grade School and graduated from Spencerville High School IN 1941. She married Lowell B Miller in 1941 after graduation. She became a co-partner with her husband in the ministry of the Church of the Nazarene. Over the years, she served with distinction as a pastor's personal secretary, church pianist, choir director, children's dept. supt., Sunday school teacher, and a partner in pastoral visitation. Her husband died June 8, 2014.

During her life she gave birth and mothered two daughters: Linda Street (Harold) of Houston, Ohio; Rebecca Keifer, (David) of Piqua, Ohio; and three sons: Edwin B (Judy), of Southington, Conn; Dr. David E. (Dr. Joy), of Circleville, Ohio: and James Leroy of Newark, Ohio.

Ruth has 26 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, Ohio on Wed. July 2, at 4-8 pm. Services will be held at Bayliff on Thursday, July 3rd at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the Spencerville Church of the Nazarene missions dept.
