LIMA — Ruth L. Shook Perrin Siebert Powell, 89, a resident at Primrose Retirement Community in Lima, died at 7:08 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2015, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, with her daughters by her side, following a one week illness.
She was born March 27, 1926, in Lima, the daughter of Frank L. and Mabel L. Hodde Caughman, who preceded her in death. She had been married to Edward J. Shook, Ralph L. Perrin, Howard V. Seibert and Harry Powell, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three daughters, Sue (Gary) Waddle, of Lima, Shirlee (Doug, deceased) Graham, of Findlay, and Deborah (Roy Boop) Perrin, of Lima; seven grandchildren, Doug Waddle, of Lima, Shawn Graham, of Minnesota, Andrew (Yvette) Graham, of Columbus, Chad (Kelly) Graham, of Cincinnati, Daniel (Brit) Graham, of Cincinnati, Ricky (Shawn) Conaway, of Lima, and Jodi (Dawn) Hunt, of Lima; and 15 great-grandchildren, Katie (Ty) Browning, Abby Waddle, Chloe Waddle, Lexi Waddle, Mia Waddle, Doug Graham, Henry Graham, Avery Graham, Gavin Graham, Collin Graham, Corinne Graham, Ashley (Joey) Conaway, Matthew Conaway, Haley Hunt and Ashton Conaway.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley (Paul) Reineke and Virginia (Jack) Shine; and two brothers, James (Susan) Caughman and infant Danny Caughman.
A homemaker, she was a 1944 graduate of South High School and the Richard Weston Beauty School of Lima. She had been a member of Gomer United Church of Christ, VFW Post 1275 Auxiliary in Lima, Lime Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Women's Auxiliary of MOCA Cooties Pup Tent 6 of Lima and the Red Hatters of Indian Lake and Primrose. She had been a volunteer at Our Daily Brad Food Kitchen in Lima.
Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, with the Rev. Libby Hostetler officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Spencerville Cemetery.
