Spencerville;        Sandra Lee Jones, 84, of Spencerville, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024 at Shawnee Manor in Lima.  She now resides in her heavenly home in the presence of her Savior!

Sandra was born on August 1, 1939 in Lima, to the late Robert Mont and Betty Ann (Spangler) Bailey. She graduated from Gomer High School in 1957 and was united in marriage to Melvin Earl Weaver on June 17, 1959. Together they raised five children. Sandra was busy raising her kids during the early years of her life and then she went back to school at Apollo Career center where she received her LPN. She worked as an LPN for over 30 years starting at Vernon Manor in Wabash, IN and finishing at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville. On April 22, 1978, she married her soulmate John Jones, who passed away on April 17, 2023.

Sandra loved many things, like reading, her many dogs and country music but the greatest was her family. She shared many cherished memories spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sandra is survived by her five children, Jim (Cindi) Weaver of Fairfield, Dennis (Tracy) Weaver of Iowa, Bill (Beth) Weaver of Kentucky, Cara (Troy) Franks of Indiana, Laura (Matt) Preston of Wisconsin; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three siblings, Judy (Jack) Black of Lima, Robert (Luanne) Bailey of Findlay, and Lanny (Janet) Bailey of Elida. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John and still born daughter Kathy Lynn Weaver.

There will be a visitation from 12:00-2:00 p.m. followed by her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with pastor Charles H. Johnson officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Spencerville Cemetery. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Sandra and her family.
