Sheila
Patterson
June 3, 1965 – September 2, 2022
Sheila (born June 3, 1965) was a gentle kind soul who prided herself in raising her 3 children, loving her husband Ron Patterson of 33 years and pouring her heart into her flower beds. She enjoyed her rock and roll music loud and always made time for a good book! Sheila was a huge supporter in her children's athletics, often attempting to be the loudest parent in the stands! Sheila had recently become a grandmother and had enjoyed spending every second loving and spoiling her granddaughter Arlo. Sheila will be missed dearly but will live on in our hearts and in the many many photos she took in her short life with us. Sheila found herself in a battle with Multiple Myeloma in the last 4 years and never gave up. Her effort and dedication in her fight will continue to be an inspiration to all those she touched.
Sheila was born in DuQuoin, Illinois and attended school in Herrin, Illinois. Sheila worked at the Legion in Spencerville for several years before graduating from Apollo with an Associates degree and then working as an Office Administrator at Apollo for a few years as well as at the UCC church and eventually finishing her working years at Dollar General in Spencerville.
Survived by her Husband, Ronald Patterson, Aaron (Paige) Patterson with Arlo Patterson, Travis Patterson, and Margaret (Brandon) Patterson, Mother, Glynna Gray of Illinois, Brothers Vince Furlow of Tennessee and Adam (Renee) Furlow of Illinois, mother in-law Barbara Patterson, sisters in-law Kim Roof and Shelly Patterson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father Maurice Furlow, stepfather Randell Gray, Brother in-law Randall Roof, father in-law William Patterson and mother in-law Darlene Patterson.
