Obituary

Steven T. Spicer, 77, of Lima, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.

​          He was born in Lima, October 18, 1947, to the late Carl and Mary (nee Crider) Spicer. In September of 2005, at Lima's Woodhaven Girl Scout Camp, he married Lori Doster of Continental. He was a graduate of Spencerville High School in 1965 and went on to The Ohio State University where he acquired his bachelor's degree in physical science and education. While teaching at Columbus Grove and Lima South Middle School, he earned a double master's degree in education administration from Bowling Green University. In 1976, he began his twenty-year career at Trans World Airlines as an in-flight services trainer and supervisor.

​          Steve was a very educated and well traveled man. His life choices and experiencing took him all across the United States and different countries around the world.

​          Steve is survived by his wife, Lori of Lima and his brother Todd (Susan) Spicer of St. Marys. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary Spicer.

​          There will be a visitation from 2:00-4:00 p.m. followed by his funeral service at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Reverend Mark Fuerstenau officiating the service. Burial will take place at a later date at Wright Cemetery. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Steve and his family.

​Per Steve's request, no flowers are to be sent, just that you visit a shut-in more often, or that you love others better….thankyou. The family would like to give a special thank you to St. Rita's Hospital Hospice.
