SPENCERVILLE — Sumiko "Kay" Miller, 91, of Spencerville, passed away peacefully in her home at 11:20 PM Tuesday, July 31, 2018 with her daughter at her side.
She was born January 14, 1927 in Tokyo, Japan, the youngest daughter of Tokutaro and Uku Suzuki Kurata, who are deceased as well as her seven siblings.
Surviving are her two children; Richard (Karen) Miller of Dayton and Cathleen "Cathy" (Marvin) Giddeon of Spencerville; three grandchildren; Jennifer (Josh) Lotz and Jessica Price, both of Spencerville and Richard Miller III of Seattle, WA.; six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Kay retired after 34 years in final inspection at the former Nameco / Hayes-Albion / Trim Trends Corp. in Spencerville. In addition to her family, she enjoyed anything to do with "Elvis" and doing aeroebics at the former YWCA in Lima.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date in the Spencerville Cemetery.
