Susan D.Dimond, 78, of Lima, passed away peacefully at her residence at 5:30 PM Saturday, August 24, 2024 with her family at her side, following a long illness.

She was born February 17, 1946 in Lima, a daughter of the late Raymond and Delores Gaberdiel McBride. On September 12, 1986 she married James K. Dimond, who survives, along with three daughters; Becky (David ) Shalek of Lima, Sally (Charles) Doty of Wapakoneta, April Sandkuhl of Kossuth,Ohio and 3 step-children Jamie, Josh & Maura Dimond along with siblings Robert "Bob" McBride of Hawaii and Brice "Bill" (Jennifer Crumrine) McBride of Lima. Susan was proceeded in death by brothers Gary, Larry & Jim and sister Kay (Dick)Patrick of Venadocia, Ohio. She is also survived by an ex-husband Lyle (Kathleen)Sandkuhl of Spencerville, Ohio, also eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Susan owned 2 businesses in Lima before a long career with Chanel fragrances. She enjoyed politics, knitting, fishing & collecting jewelry.

The family will have a private " celebration of life" ceremony  at a later date. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Susan and her family.
