TRUMAN BELL

CRIDERSVILLE — Truman J. Bell, 78, of Cridersville, died 8:45 a.m., Sun. Sept. 27, 2015, at Roselawn Manor.

He was born June 20, 1937, in Spencerville, the son of Patrick Z. & Dorothy V. (Wieter) Bell. His father & mother, Dorothy (Bell) Kurtz preceded him in death. On Sept. 4, 1955, he married Dianna J. Davisson, and she died Oct. 7, 2013.

Survivors include, 3 children, Vicki S. Bell, Wapakoneta, Douglas A. (Debbie) Bell, Spencerville, Michael C. (Jessica) Bell, St. Marys, 9 grandchildren, Shay (Angie) Finn, Tiffany Finn, Trevor Triplett, Brittany Jones, Cody (Chasidy) Bell, Lindsay Bell, McKayla (Tim) Leiber, Krystal (Danny) Shreves, & Ashlee Bell, 26 great grandchildren sister-in-law, Mary Savidge, Spencerville, uncle, William "Bill" Bell, Elida, nieces & nephew, Janet, Melissa, Jeff, & Haley.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lynn A. Bell & Randall P. Bell.

Truman retired in Jan. 1991, from Ford Motor Co., Lima Engine Plant after 31 years of service. He attended the Spencerville Church of the Nazarene. He was a graduate of Spencerville High School, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Truman was a member of the Acadia Lodge #306 F. & A.M., Spencerville; the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; and the Antioch Shriners, Dayton, OH. He loved woodworking and was a master at building different things.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thurs. Oct. 1, 2015, at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral home, Spencerville, Pastor Tom Shobe officiating. Burial is to follow in the Spencerville Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the Spencerville Veterans.

The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Wed. and 1 hr. prior to the services, Thurs. at the funeral home.
