Venedocia;       Vera Lois Burnett, 96, of Venedocia, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville.

Vera was born on November 14, 1927 in her home in Spencerville to the late Frank and Minnie (Stirn) Fronk. She grew up in Spencerville graduating from Spencerville High School in 1945. A few years later, she met the love of her life, Donald Robert "Peanut" Burnett. They were united in marriage on February 1, 1950. Vera was a loving homemaker, caring for their son and helping on the family farm. She later worked at DWZ Cigar factory in Delphos and Name Plate and Monogram in Spencerville.

Vera was an avid reader and later in life when she moved into Roselawn Manor, she enjoyed all the different activities they offered.

Vera is survived by her son, Steven Allen (Tonya) Burnett of St. Mary's, OH; two siblings, Jean Hassel of Hendersonville, NC and Carl "Wendell" Fronk of Uhrichsville, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Burnett; siblings, Frances (Virgil) Mathews, Norma Miller, Ruth Fronk, Ethel (Robert) Colson and Kenneth Fronk.

There will be a visitation from 9:00-11:30 a.m. with her funeral starting at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Wright Cemetery. Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville is caring for Vera and her family. In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Vera may be given to the Roselawn Activities Fund.
