Spencerville; William "Bill" Gaberdiel of Simpsonville, S.C., and formerly of Spencerville, passed away November 28th, 2017. He was 86. His wife, Jane Clark Gaberdiel, also of Simpsonville, passed away January 10th, 2018. She was 85. They were married 67 years.

Bill was the son of Albert and Bertha Gaberdiel. Albert and his brother Daniel, owned Gaberdiel Brothers Coal Company in Spencerville. Bill was born on the family farm locally, attended the Spencerville Schools and proudly served on the Spencerville Invincible Fire Company.

Jane, the daughter of Ralph and Pauline Clark, was born in Rex, GA. and raised in Miami, Florida.

They are survived by two daughters; Jeanne (George (dec'd) Reagan and Dianna (Tim) Spatafore. Two grandchildren; Angela (Baine) Fairley and Tom (Shelly) Spatafore and three great grandchildren; Thomas Spatafore, Jr., Avery Fairley and Joseph Spatafore.

Graveside services will held at 10 AM Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the Spencerville Cemetery with Pastor Charles H. Johnson officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Spencerville Fire Company.
