Obituary

DELPHOS — William C. Kohler, SR., 69, of Delphos, passed at his home Tuesday morning, May 14, 2019, following an extended illness.

He was born August 21, 1949 in New Bremen, a son of the late Clarence and Faye Garman Kohler, Sr.

He married Virginia "Jenny"Ickes, who survives, along with five children; Gary (Tonya) Kohler of Middle Point; William C. Kohler, II and Dawn Kohler, both of Lakeview; Melissa Martin and Bonnie J. Ickes, both of Delphos; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and three siblings; James (Kumcha) Kohler, Sr. of Texas; Marie Maier of Delphos and Irene Sprowl of St. Marys.

Preceding him in death are two siblings; Phylis Naill and Clarence Kohler, Jr.

William was a graduate of New Bremen High School and earned an associates degree in Auto/Diesel at Northwestern Business College in Lima. He served two duties the Army in the Vietnam War and went to work as an over-the-road truck driver, most recently for the J.B. Hunt Company.

He was a member of the Delphos American Legion Post. He loved spending time with his family and grandkids.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spenceville with Pastor Andrew J. Atkins officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 AM Friday until service time.
