WILLIAM RUPERT
SPENCERVILLE — William T. "Bill" Rupert, 37, of Spencerville, died at 7:31 PM Friday, October 7, 2016 at the St. Rita's Emergency Dept. following a crash on his motorcycle with a car at the intersection of Agerter Road and Wapak Road, West of Lima.
He was born August 27, 1979 in Van Wert, a twin son of William M. "Mike" and Connie S. Slife Rupert, who survive near Spencerville. On October 10, 2015 he married Dawn M. Goodman Berger of Spencerville. Their first anniversary is Monday.
Also surviving are his three step-children; Cassandra J. (Alana) Taylor of Georgia; Carissa J. (Annie) Berger of Elida and Joseph W. (Michelle) Berger, Jr. of Leipsic; his step-granddaughter; Elizabeth Taylor; his sister; Melissa Beatty of Findlay; his twin brother; Michael J. "Mikie" Rupert of Spencerville and his niece; Kylie Beatty.
Bill was a 1998 graduate of Spencerville High School and has been employed since 2008 with the Village of Spencerville. He had also worked at R. & G. Sales and with Brian Binkley Excavating, both of Spencerville.
He was devoted to family and friends as well as his work. He loved the outdoors and to ride his three Harleys and enjoyed coin collecting. He was a member of the Delphos Eagles Lodge, Aerie # 471 and was an avid member of the NRA.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor Tom Shobe officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 until 8 PM Tuesday and after 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
